Common mistakes:

• On problem 4.18, many students go directly from $x<y$ to $x^{2n+1}<y^{2n+1}$ without any explanation.
• On problem 4.27, some students did not prove why in general $f(x)=ax^2+bx+c$ is not surjective. Instead, they only provided one counterexample.
